We recently took our family to Breckenridge to escape the Texas heat and get some much-needed family vacation time. We could not have been more pleased with this house. The house is absolutely beautiful and the layout is terrific. The house is in a gorgeous neighborhood and within walking distance to some great hiking trails. There is so much to do in and around Breckenridge, and this house is in a great location to access so many fun activities. Bill was exceptional in sending us valuable information, making sure everything was to our liking, and making us feel right at home. The worst part of the trip was when we had to leave. This house was wonderful and we can't wait to come back. I would highly recommend Bear Haven to anyone looking for a vacation home in Colorado.

The layout of this house is wonderful. The great room in front is cozy and the gas stove makes it toasty. Each one of the bedrooms is a master with large comfortable beds and privacy for all. The kitchen is beautiful with its new hickory cabinets and stainless appliances. Easy to cook and clean up. We loved the ski in/ski out feature as we could get to Peak 9 easily, except for one day when there was deep powder and we were the first ones in the morning. Love the hot tub for soaking and the birds at the bird feeders. Thanks Bill and Kathy for sharing your lovely home!

We had been looking for a great place to meet for a summer vacation now that our kids live in different parts of the country. We are from Kansas City, our son goes to college and has a summer internship in Tulsa, and our daughter lives in Washington DC. We also invited her boyfriend. He had never been to Colorado so we focused there and since we had visited Breckenridge before and loved it, we began searching for a place for us all to stay. There are so many places to pick from but Bearhaven stood out because of the pictures, reviews, size, and price. We booked it and Bill provided us with all sorts of information to enhance our trip. When we arrived, everyone loved it as they picked their rooms. It isn't huge but it has plenty of room for 5 with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, it is decorated beutifully and the kitchen is great. Everyone was very comfortable and soon a puzzle was covering the oversize dinner table. Board games were played in the living room late into the night and the grill and kitchen made dinner at home fun and easy. It has a really nice enclosed hot tub but we didn't use it much because we were off doing other things. Bearhaven is half of a really nice mountain duplex in a wooded neighborhood of amazing homes. The area is very quiet save for the birds and wind in the trees. The houses are close to each other yet, other than saying hi in the driveway, we never heard other folks. Bearhaven is only a couple minutes walk from the Burro Trail which makes for a nice 20 or so minute walk to town or, head the other way as I did each morning while the rest of the family slept in, and you are walking up an incline along a gurgling stream then into secluded woods. I loved it! If you prefer to drive, the condo is just over five minutes from town. We hiked, watched the last two World Cup games at Eric's and Ollie's respectively (those are sports bar-type place in town), took the gondola and lift as high as we could go, shopped (too much), dodged rain at The Crowne (cool quirky coffee joint), and ate at a couple of the local places but we all seemed to prefer hanging out at Bearhaven playing games, doing the puzzle, reading, or just hanging out. Great place! Great trip!
